I love my husband ever so much. I am so blessed that he lets me do whatever I like in the decorating department. I took it for granted, cause my dad was the same way with my mom. But I have learned that there a quite a few men out there who have a pretty big opinion on how they want things, and definitely don't approve of girly stuff. Kevin is such a good sport. I made our bedroom chamber very very girly and I love it. It makes me smile every time I walk in. And I just love starting my day with a nicely made bed. ;)

Faux Flowers from my Hubby.
Where I used to sit with my laptop (Before it Broke) in the chair Kevin got me when we were first married.
So here are the pictures of the newly painted room. It was already a similar shade of yellow, but we had to patch some of the drywall from construction and we added some trim around the ceiling, doors & windows and panelling that needed to be painted white. I didn't want to spend a lot of money sprucing the place up, so I used some leftover flat white as primer for the woodwork and then bought a cheap gallon of white semigloss for a top coat. For the walls, my friend Bethany gave me some leftover yellow paint, it was half full, so I added white, enough to fill the gallon and it couldn't have turned out more lovely. I am so happy that our room is finally finished. I still need to paint our old dresser white, but it's definitely not high on my list of priorities right now. Everything else is the same, nothing new was added I wanted to stay within a budget. Same furniture and linens etc. I spent 11 dollars total. I would like to make a wreath to hang above our bed, it's looking pretty blah as we don't have a headboard. But that is yet another piece of furniture I would rather not lug about if we move. So for now I think a wreath would be quite nice. Not sure what I will use for flowers. I would like to stick some sea shells in there too of course.
What a sweetheart! He knew I would like it, cause it's hot pink.
Part of my Nanna's china collection.
"Jackie" The Rabbit that Lily and I made together one Easter.

Vintage sheets from my friend Karen's Grandmother. She was spring cleaning, and knew I would love them. They miss match perfectly with the rest of our bedding.
I love Anthropologie. I saved my favorite catalogue from Summer 2003. The setting is @ the beach & on boats. Of course I love it. And the style is bohemian and flea market. I have been doing some spring cleaning and trying to declutter my cottage. I just couldn't part with it, so I decided to take pictures of it and put online, and toss the catalogue in with the recycling. Now I can look @ it whenever I want and it's not taking up any space in my sewing room. I love Anthro, but they are too pricey for me now that I am a stay @ home mommy. So now I use catalogues and magazines for inspiration to either make it myself or find the same style cheaper.
Lily's little hand pointing to her favorite outfit. She' got good taste. She tells me I should dress up more often. I think she's right.

I love the glass lanterns.

Most Saturdays I spend with my hubby and the girls doing the typical family stuff. But today Kevin went to Hunter Safety class from 8am-5pm. He got his Hunting licence Yay! And The Girls were playing quite well together so I thought I would bust out the leftover fabric my mom had given me from one of her projects. I had previously covered my bench seat in this same fabric. And thought a matching valence would be nice. Here it is. Nothing fancy but I was so happy to have yet another project finished and some time with stitch, my grumpy old sewing machine. She can be a little tempermental but I love her. I think she needs a little oil.
