Mother's Day

For Mother's day this year, Kevin and the girls made me a beautiful card. The girls had so much fun playing with paper and scissors and glue with Daddy. I love the card! I put it on the shelf above my desk. It makes me smile every time I look at it.Daddy also kept the Girls occupied while I had the morning to myself to do some sewing. I was so happy to have a few hours of uninterupted craft time, as I have lots and lots of projects that need to get finished before Baby Chloe arrives. And as if that wasn't enough. They blessed me with 15 rose bushes for a hedge I wanted to make. We planted them along with the two bushes Kevin gave me years ago. Now we have quite the variety. From climbers, to tea roses, to everblooming, and super fragrant in all sorts of colors. He also put up a 40ft long split rail fence for me. I am so pleased with the hedge, It all turned out so beautiful. I can't imagine what it will look like when the roses are full grown. (Here are a few of the roses already in bloom)
I love my roses and enjoy cutting them and bringing them inside. I told my hubby long ago not to waste his money on buying me bouquets of flowers that die within a week, but to please give me plants instead, because then, not only does it make our yard look nice, but if I really want a bouquet on the table I can just go out and pick one ;)

Fools Rush In

This photo was taken by the Lovely and Talented Andrea of SgtandMrsHub .
Here is a link to her wonderful flickr page. For our Anniversary Andrea Blessed us with a fabulous photo shoot back in November @ the place we stayed for our honey moon. It was so gorgeous and romantical and we couldn't be more pleased with how the photos turned out. She is magical! And I can't imagine how I could ever repay her. And if that wasn't enough, one night when I showed up @ her house for a "Girls Night" she surprised me with a huge print of my favorite photo from the shoot. Yeah I cried. Kevin and I got married January 8th, 2005.
This is a totally weird bit of random but cool information, that I just found out today when I stumbled upon a blog I hadn't been to before, Dogwood Cottage. Elvis' Birthday is on January 8th, 1935. "Fools rush in", or "I can't help falling in love" by Elvis, was our wedding song. I first fell in love with the song and surfing, when I saw Blue Hawaii as a teenager. And the song was perfect for Kevin and I, because everyone thought we were fools for getting married after only dating for a few months. But we knew we were in love and we couldn't wait to be together, especially since we had been dating long distance. And here we are five years later, very happy these fools did rush in ;)

Fools Rush In!

Our Wedding Song ;)

"Fools Rush In"
Elvis

Wise Men say
only fools rush in,
but I cant help
falling in love with you.
Shall I stay
would it be a sin
if I can't help
falling in love with you...
Like a river flows,
surely to the sea
Darlin so it goes,
somethings are meant to be...
Take my hand,
take my whole life too
for I can't help
falling in love with you...
Like a river flows,
surely to the sea
Darlin so it goes,
somethings are meant to be...
Take my hand
take my whole life too
for I cant help
falling in love with you
for I cant help
falling in love with...
you.

Kate & Tim's Wedding

We went back home to New England for the weekend and It was such a Joyous Trip. My friends Kate & Tim tied the Knot In Maine. I was so excited to be a part of their wedding. Kate and I have been best friends since second grade. And I was the one who introduced Tim and Kate. They make a wonderful couple. I can't wait till they have munchkins. They will be great parents and their kids will be absolutely gorgeous! The Beautiful view the evening before the Big Day!
We brought my new camera, and Kevin took some great photos of the event.
I had the Honor and Privilege of doing a reading For Kate & Tim . They Chose 1 Corinthians 13 . I was so blessed.
I loved the dresses, but @ that moment I was especially happy that Kate chose long bridesmaid gowns, so no one could see my knees knocking. I couldn't look up @ either of them without bawling my eyes out. I am so happy for them. ;)Kate Looks Absolutely Radiant! This is My Favorite photo. The joy in Tim's eyes as he Smiles @ his Gorgeous Bride, is so precious. My wedding partner was Austin, an old friend. I was happy to see him after quite a few years. In fact I got to see so many old faces, it was quite the reunion. All of our lives are so intertwined it's awesome.
The Most Fun Bridal Party Ever! Such a great group of girls! I will treasure this day forever!
My Handsome Hubby Taking a break from snapping pictures, to take a bite of the Hors D'oeuvres. They were delish. Everything was perfect.

As soon as I got inside, I charged up the batery and started reading the manual right away. I have been waiting for a new camera since last christmas. So you can imagine my excitement when I recieved my new toy. I took pictures all day today. Thank you Pumpkin pie puddin' face. In case you are wondering, That's our nickname we used when making fun of mushy lovey nick names, and it stuck ;)

The 3 Musketeers ;) Lily, A, & Eden
I love this photo of Lily's friend "A". She is such a sweet girl.
Now I can give Grampa Gary back his camera, that he so graciously let us borrow.

Strange Love Language

You're are probably thinking, 'what is this silly girl taking pictures of an empty food container for? And why on earth would she be blogging about it, when there is plenty of other far more important and exciting things to write about.' Well, here it goes. I was in a HUGE Funk today, I mean HUGE. Grumpy and Blah! So there I was tidying up the kitchen, and feeling down right irritated, And then I noticed this clean empty container on the counter. You see, I pack my hubby's lunch in these, and he always washes them out @ work, and brings them home sparkling clean ready to be filled again. My day was immediately brightened when I saw the container. I thought of him & how much he loves me. Weird I know. But somehow this clean empty container was the love language I needed today. It spoke to me. My hubby likes my cooking and appreciates that I make him lunch. And is thoughtful enough to clean it out for me.

Hope you are all enjoying the summer and

Taking Joy in the simple things!

Blessings,

Molly

The Barra MacNeils @ The Stone Mountain Arts Center

I love Celtic music! While we were out visiting my folks back home in Maine, my mother surprised Me, Kevin, My Sister and her Hubby with tickets to see,
The Barra Macneils @ The Stone Mountain Arts Center.
It was so much fun to get all gussied up for our date. They put on a great show, Fantastic music, Irish Step Dancing, and they even got the crowd involved singing. We had a fabulous evening.
I had never been to this particular venue, the atmosphere was incredible and the food was awesome. I look forward to seeing another show there when we are back in the area.
Thank You Mom
And that was as far as I could take my camera.
So, you'll just have to check out their websites and plan a trip for yourself. ;)

Congrats Heather and Dan!

My best friend Heather and Her Fiance Dan Just Won @ Green Boston Wedding. And obviously I am cool by assosiation. lol
But seriously, I love these guys. And they definately deserved to win. Green is not a trend for them, it's a way of life. It's rooted deep in their hearts.
And I get to be the Maid of Honor. Oh yeah baby! That means I get to plan fun surprises for her. And do a speach. Oh no! Wait a minute. A speach! Ahhhh! I can talk all day, but not in front of a crowd. Excuse me while I go settle down these butterflies in my tummy.

My Little Red Caboose

Last year for mothers day, my darling hubby took me out to get a new bike with a basket of course and a little red caboose for the kiddo's. They love it. He also got me a roof rack so we can take the bikes to some trails and also when we go camping. But my favorite thing to do is to go riding around the neighborhood as a family. It is so much fun. Our neighborhood reminds me of the movie "Pleasantville". It's just a bunch of culdesacs all connected together. And all our neghbors are awesome. When we first moved to the neighborhood, I was expecting my first child, so we went on lots of walks and had to stop and ask for directions back to our house. It was really funny and a little embarrassing. Anyways, We go for a ride every evening when daddy gets home from work, weather permitting, we took the winter off of course. It's great excersise and it gives Kevin and I a chance to chit chat while we ride, and best of all our Girls are having so much fun that they are quiet and our conversation is uninterupted. Lovely! Today was another beautiful day in the 80's, so Kevin busted out the camera, we had to get a picture of Hailey in the little red caboose with The Girls. She got groomed today. I'm not used to it yet. She looks so funny without all her hair. Hailey didn't last very long in the caboose, she ran very well beside me though. And seemed to like it.
Oh and don't worry I wore bike shorts under my skirt just incase.

Hope you all had a lovely day :)

Chocolate & Strawberries

Kevin brought home a couple of lovely gifts for Me last week. For no reason other than that he loves me. :) We had fun assembling the strawberry planter kit. So cool. I have always wanted one. And those chocolate balls that you whack and pull apart are one of my favorite treats. What more could a girl want?!

I can't sleep

I went to bed early tonight, because I hurt my back, but I woke up around 10:00pm and I have so many things racing through my head tonight, that I can't sleep. Too many to blog about. Must go to sleep and sort them out. Or write a list, thats a good Idea! I love lists they are one of my favorite things to do. And I love finding old lists. Oh! once I wrote a list of all the things I wanted in a relationship and what I wanted in a man, only to realize the guy I was dating for the past two years was absolutely none of those things and our relationship was lame. So I broke up with him. It was sad and I felt bad about wasting that time in my life, but I believe you grow and learn through every circumstance in life. So then I lost the list.......and time went by..... and I found it when my hubby and I moved into our new house after we had been married for 8 months and when I read it, the List was Kevin to a T. How weird is that? God is so good. Well I forgot about all that other stuff I was thinking about tonight, and my mind isn't racing anymore, so I guess I don't have to write a list tonight. I will just eat some icecream and go to bed. Good Night!

Sparkle

I decided to polish my engagement ring today. I love making it sparkle! It gets so dingy from daily chores, cooking, crafting etc. My hubby used to buy the cleaner from the jewelers, until my mom told me it was a waste of money. She had a friend who's hubby was a jeweler, and back in the day my mom would go to her house and find her soaking diamonds in a big pot of ammonia. (imagine a pot full of diamonds) So now I buy a .98 cent bottle of ammonia and soak my diamond in just a little ammonia in a shot glass on the window sill by my sink for a 1/2 hour and scrub it with an old toothbrush rinse it off, slide it back on and reminisce while watching it cast glimmering dots of sun on the walls. Remeber Amonia is toxic so be sure the kids can't reach it. And never mix with bleach.
So go on, get that diamond sparkling, and think of the day your hubby popped the question.

Kissing in the Rain

So I was looking through templates for my new blog and I came accross a pretty one with a man and a woman kissing underneath a funky scraggly abstract tree, and clouds above. I almost picked it because my DH and I shared our first Kiss @ maudsley state park in the rain and it was so romantical. So there we were kissing in the rain and a car came down the dirt road and their lights shined on us but it wasn't all awkward and weird it was like a scene from a movie and the car just turned in the loop and kept going. And we ran in the rain back to my car and a couple of months later, He took me to that same spot and asked me to marry him. What a sweety. Now four years and 2 children later, I can still remember how wonderful I felt @ that moment. I love this man of mine more and more every day. I might just have to go back and get that template.

4 yr Aniversary!

On Janury 8th, 2005 I married the most amazing man in the world. I can't believe it's been four years. What an amazing day that was. One I will cherish forever. We got married in a blizzard in New England and all our friends and family braved the weather and the roads to come and celebrate with us. As we sat in the limo together watching the snow fall, and sparkling on the trees. Washing everything white. I remember thinking, "Am I dreaming? I am so blessed." I truly felt like a princess that day with my night in shining armor by my side. We have certainly been through a lot together, battling Kevin's health and such, God has gotten us through, and it has made us stronger. Happy Aniversary Babe! I love you more than words can say!
Thank You Lord for the many blessing you have given us! And for washing us white as snow!

Sonnenberg Gardens

Every Summer since we moved to NY, I have made it a point to visit Sonnenberg Gardens.
Oh it is so amazing. I also take anyone who makes the trip out here to visit us. Our friends Kate and Tim came for a long weekend this month. It was so much fun. Tim is an awesome photographer, and he brought his camera along and blessed us with some great photos. Here are some of my faves. I'll be sure to post some more when I get the chance.

Pride and Prejudice

Kevin and I love to watch Pride and Predjudice. We have seen every version multiple times. But our favorite has always been the PBS version, we own it. It's a mini series, so it's super long. Well anyways yesterday Kevin took me to the play @ Geva Theater in Rochester. It was a total surprise. I thought we were just going to get dressed up and go in to the city to hang out, while Grampa watched the kids. It was such a romantic evening, we got a bite to eat before the show. I had no Iidea we were going to the play until we were walking past the theater and Kevin pulled me in the front door and up to the ticket counter. He had reserved tickets for two. I was so proud of him for planning the evening and getting grampa to watch the Girls and keeping it a secret for weeks. I even got a little teary eyed. And the ticket lady noticed and a huge grin spread across her face. She knew what was going on apparently. I love my husband he's the Greatest. And the play was phenominal they went right along with the novel. The set was just beautiful, they really did an incredible job. The whole thing was absolutely perfect.
